Projecting the nostalgia of a classic cabin home from childhood or something from the movies. The perfect home for a year-round vacation. Beautiful wood walls and beams throughout the home. Large living room windows to enjoy the sunrise and sunset over the Sierra Mountains and Lake Tahoe’s west shoreline. There is a very large grass lawn area for outdoor activities in the summer months or epic snowball fights in the winter months. During the summer and early fall, two paddle boards and two kayaks are provided to guests at no additional charge (guests are asked to put the paddleboards and kayaks back when finished). A couple night’s getaways will make you want to stay longer. In fact, this home is wonderful for those much needed week-long vacations.
Walk in the door to a spacious and open beam living room and dining room combo. The dining room table seats 10 people and is perfect for large dinners and makes for a great game table. Relax in the living room in front of the large open fireplace or on the large deck right off the dining room that overlooks Lake Tahoe. The large deck has a gas BBQ, dining set, and chairs to soak up the Tahoe air. Off the deck are stairs to the beach or lawn. The deck offers direct access to the queen size bedroom with shower bathroom. The kitchen is on the first floor next to the dining room and has plenty of room for multiple people to do meal preparations. The kitchen leads to the laundry room, a full bathroom, and another queen bedroom with access to the front stone patio. Downstairs is an additional room with a television and a great place to play games. Upstairs the wooden cabin steps is another queen bedroom and two twin bedroom. Between the two rooms is a full bathroom. During the summer months, there is an additional queen bedroom with a bathroom located up the outdoor stairs to the left of the front door. There is so much room for large families and quiet get-togethers.
Features and amenities consist of postcard views of Lake Tahoe, five fill bedrooms, four full bathrooms (please see note below), a year-round BBQ on the covered deck, snow removal of the parking area during the winter, a small family room with 47-inch flat screen television and sleeper sofa, laundry room with washer and dryer, shoreline home with privacy and direct lake access year-round, seven minutes drive to downtown casinos, nightlife, shopping, and Heavenly Village, another short drive to Heavenly Ski Resort in Nevada and California, quiet desk space for working, and WIFI connection, especially great for those having to do work during their “getaway”.

During the winter months the 5th bedroom and 4th bathroom are actually locked off because they are kind of separate from the house and we worry about possible frozen pipes due to the room and bathroom not being very well insulated with direct heat to make sure the plumbing will not freeze. April 15th – November 1st.
We DO NOT allow large parties. Please respect our neighbors and the Marla Bay Community. Please do not inquire if you are looking for a place for a bachelor or bachelorette party, wedding reception, etc.
Disclosure: Water levels fluctuate throughout the year and vary each year based on winter snow fall. Photos of the beach were taken in 2017 when there was a lower water level allowing for more beach access. Please be mindful that there may be less beach during your stay.

Our thoughts are with all who have been impacted by the coronavirus. While we take pride in our practices to maintain a clean and sanitary environment, at present, we have implemented additional measures that reflect the recommended standards of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in response to the coronavirus.
In our rentals, all homes are being cleaned with an approved disinfectant between reservations, especially on frequently touched surfaces before your check-in. We are actively communicating with our cleaners about the role each of us can play to help prevent the spread of any germs. We have installed hand sanitizer dispensers at front doors, placed informational packets inside the homes, provided cleaning supplies and soaps for you to use during your stay, and made complimentary kits to help you stay healthy and safe during your visit to Lake Tahoe.
Due to the additional time needed to clean between reservations, we are not allowing early check-ins and late check-outs at this time. We also ask that you open windows when checking-in to the property and ensure they are closed before your departure.
